The eMERGE Network is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Josh Denny (Vanderbilt) to the NIH panel leading President Obama’s Precision Medicine Initiative. The Initiative, launched in January, will work to engage stakeholders from both the scientific and patient community, using their input to design and implement a cohort of 1 million research participants. The overall goal of the Initiative is to provide a framework of how to use an individual’s genetics to inform and tailor prevention and treatment strategies.
