The eMERGE Network recently introduced a data dictionary validation tool into PheKB. This new functionality will allow the data dictionary to be validated, uploaded into PheKB for distribution, and members to upload, validate, and share datasets directly into PheKB. Datasets uploaded to PheKB are also validated. This process will improve the quality, as well as the harmony of data by utilizing data dictionaries to strictly define what the data in the datasets should look like. The result is the ability to share clean datasets for sites collaborating on a phenotype.
