3rd International Workshop on Genome Privacy and Security (GenoPri ’16)

The 3rd International Workshop on Genome Privacy and Security (GenoPri’16) is a community effort for promoting genome privacy and security, co-sponsored by the eMERGE Network, and will be held in conjunction with the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) 2016 Fall Symposium on November 12, 2016 at the Hilton Chicago.

This informative workshop aims to communicate and train participants on the state-of-the-art in privacy preserving technologies and research methodologies around data privacy and security issues prompted by progress in genomics.  To do so, it brings together a highly interdisciplinary community involved in various fields, including computer science, clinical informatics, law and policy, and social science.

Briefly, the workshop is scheduled from 8:30am to 5:40pm CST and is composed of:

    • Risks and Quantification of Privacy
  • 1 tutorial presented by Mohammad Naveed on an overview of the existing efforts on privacy and security for genomic data
